The most specified and most proven mechanical design technology in the world makes LIGHTNIN Series 70 Mixers ideal for a wide range of applications.
Bearings are sized far beyond AGMA requirements for minimum maintenance and long service life
Mechanical seals are 100% factory tested and feature a cartridge design for easy, convenient replacement.
Helical change gears are easy to replace to meet new or changing processing requirements
Available in 1 to 200 hp with speeds from 16.5 to 280 rpm
Self-setting seals
Variable-speed drives for applications requiring speed variations
Open-tank models
Series 98
IsoLoad design protects gearing from dynamic loads to extend gear life
Available from 20 to 150 HP with AGMA speeds from 20 to 100 RPM
Compact drive design requires significantly less oil; no large oil sump needed
Parallel shaft, double-reduction design provides maximum installation flexibility where there are overhead space limitations
Carburized and ground helical gearing for quiet operation and extended gear life Integral dry well oil dam prevents lubricant from leaking down the mixer shaft
Integral positive displacement pump provides continuous lubrication
Forced lubrication system filters out contaminants to increase oil life
Integral mounting plate eliminates the need for an additional bolted plate; can be mounted on large threaded rods
Standard C-face motor and pedestal mount reduces assembly time
Optional seal cartridge is easy to install and remove
Series 10
Series 10 mixers deliver a superior combination of value and performance in a wide range of applications.
Available from 1 to 25 HP with speeds from 10 to 125 RPM
Choose from a wide variety of motor options, including explosion-proof and multiple-speed units
Compact design with fewer parts for easy installation and maintenance
Check, add or change oil without removing the safety guard
Largest bearings in the size range provide unmatched L10 life exceeding 100,000 hours
Unique output shaft connection reduces shaft deflection to extend seal life
Longer shaft lengths accommodate a wider range of tank configurations
Leakproof reducer design
Open- and closed-tank models available
Choice of dry-running single mechanical seals or lubricated double mechanical seals
Optional seal pedestal design permits operation up to vessel temperatures of 400°F (approx. 200°C)
Optional angle riser brackets eliminate the need for baffles
SX
SX mixers combine advanced design and rugged construction for superior performance in demanding applications.
Shafts and impellers are made from structural composites, which are stronger than metal alloys and resistant to acids, caustics and organic solvents. SX is an attractive alternate to high alloys such as Hastelloy or titanium.
Shafts and impellers are lighter in weight than metal alloys; permit use of longer shaft lengths, allowing greater flexibility in impeller positioning
Ideal for floating mixers
Advanced A6000 impeller design reduces power consumption by up to 70% vs. conventional pitched-blade designs
Impellers are constructed in 7 lightweight parts for easy installation and maintenance
Series 700/800
